Erion Professional is the first Italian Producer Responsibility Organisation dedicated to Producers placing on the market only professional Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE).
Erion Professional was created through the will of the major Producers which it represents, to provide a specialised service for the collection and valorisation of professional Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in order to comply in an ethical, certified and cost-effective way with national and European regulatory requirements.
Thanks to a consolidated network of relationships with the various stakeholders and a strong characterisation and focus on innovation, Erion Professional represents the perfect ally for the implementation of development initiatives and strategic projects and a reference point for the provision of operational collection and treatment services for B2B WEEE.

Waste from professional Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Professional WEEE is waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment designed exclusively for professional use or generated by commercial and administrative activities but which, due to its nature or quantities, cannot be considered as WEEE from households.
Erion Professional is the Producer Responsibility Organisation of the Erion System dedicated exclusively to the management of professional WEEE.
Erion Professional Producers place great importance on environmental protection. For this reason, the high quality standards of the services provided, the careful use of appropriate safety procedures, the strategic investments in research and development and the constant commitment to the issues of environmental and economic sustainability represent the strengths of the Producer Responsibility Organization.
Erion Professional can also count on the strategic skills of Interzero Italy, the company which over the years has become a point of reference in the recycling industry for its ability to select and coordinate, throughout the national territory, operators and treatment plants of the highest standard.
The legislation requires the Producer of professional EEE to manage and finance the collection of new professional WEEE when the end user requests it in having decided to dispose of it. Instead, in the case of historical professional WEEE the responsibility lies with the Producer only in the case of supply of a new EEE to replace an equivalent one.
In so far as applicable, Producers organise and manage differentiated collection systems of professional WEEE and bear the related costs, according to the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
Producers joining Erion Professional are subject to payment only on-demand, i.e. only when the collection of the waste is requested.
To meet all of its Members’ needs, Erion Professional has also introduced voluntary generational financing models for managing B2B compliance: Producers can collectively finance the collection of professional waste, exactly as happens today for the household WEEE system.
